Default Eseential Reasons to spay/neuter your pet

Did you know that a spayed or neutered pet is better behaved?
Fact: Males- Neutered cats and dogs focus their attention on their human families, whereas unsprayed male is always on the prowl for a mate, risking injury in traffic and fights with other males.
Females: Female cats and dogs that are not spayed attract males from great distances just by the scent.
Did you know that a spayed or neutered animal will live a longer healthier life?
Fact: Neutering a male by six months of age will prevent testicular cancer, prostate disease and hernias. Spaying a female help prevent pyometra and breast cancer. Spaying before first heat offers the best protection from these diseases. Treatment of pyometra requires hospitalization, IV fluids, antibiotics and spaying. Breast cancer is fatal in 50% of dogs and 90% of cats.
Please spay/neuter your pets, you make life better for them. No one should breed unless they know what they are doing.

Yes, Spaying and neutoring can be a plus sometimes but it also can be a negative too. Once the surgury is done it cannot be undone. So if your thinking about getting your pet neutored you should ask yourself these questions:

1. Is my dog/cat going to try to reproduce.
2. Is my dog/cat spraying around the house.
3. Is my dog/cat going outside all the time.

Yes, I think spaying/neutering is good for animals. In case of rabbits it is said to increase the life-span. Statistical data says a well cared for house rabbit that has been spayed or neutered early in life has a life expectancy of 8 to 12 years of age.

I don't have any dogs right now but when I did, they were both 'fixed.' It was just a preference so I didn't have to worry about any 'surprises,' if you know what I mean.
