Default parakeet training

well this isnt really parakeet training but just some useful tips.
for my parakeet to pick them up you put your finger underneath their belly but where their legs are and they usually go on. for teh next thing dont pester your bird alot like dont poke and annoy it you will receive alot mroe affection from the parakeet or bird when you respect him or her. another neat trick which doesnt always work but can is if you want them to remember something like a song just replay it over and over through the day and they might pick it up and start singing. well hope these tips helped

Parakeet training also involves not leaving the bird lonely in its cage. It should interact freely with the rest of your family.

I think its definately important to get a bird socialized. I guess that means taking it out of its cage and letting it walk around near you - or on you quite a bit. I've heard that large parrots are exceptionally social.

I have heard that most birds are sociable creatures. Especially, when it comes to parakeets it's very important to meet their social and intellectual needs. Parrots are best kept in aviaries, not cages. If they are kept in cages, they should be given as much time out as possible.
