When trying to sell a dog..or give one away for that matter...people always seem to want akc registration. A topic about AKC and it's registration process would be helpful.
Possibly some official posts from their website...maybe guidelines...places where it could be done...etc We have two dogs we would like to have registered as purebred...but dont know how to go about doing it. |

AKC registration is supposed to be done by the breeder that sold you the dog. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know whether you are purchasing a registered dog or not. Many people do not register their dogs and because of this the puppies can not be registered. This is the link to the AKC, which should be able to give you any further info http://www.akc.org/reg/about.cfm
