Default A pet Lizard??

Do you think one can pet a lizard?
I know it's difficult to imagine but I had one.
I called her chhippy and surprisingly it responded to clapping hands
and to my calling it's name. In fact it used to perch just a few meters away from me while I would be studying.

I do not know why not. If the lizard is used to you maybe it will be possible. I think if it knows you and likes you it will respond to you just like any other pet. I have a friend that has a baby turtle and it will not come out of his shell until my friend gets there or I get there. I think surroundings dictate behavior in animals. The respond differently to situations.

Yes, I guess it' that way with most animals. But turtle is a pet that is at least heard off. But I never came across another person with a pet lizard. Besides, most animals are pets when we feed them. I never fed my lizard. Some people don't even believe me.

I think your lizard is capable of finding food for it. At least you got a very low maintenance pet. I think animals would really respond to people depending on how we treat them.

Are you talking about the house lizards? Because if you are, that's pretty interesting! I have heard of people having Iguanas as pets, or geckos but none about lizards being pets! That's cute, though. We have a few lizards at home and they have grown so big because they're like scavengers digging the garbage for left over food. There's this time I was hearing noises in the kitchen and it was not just a tiny noise so, I thought it could be a rat. But when I checked to look what was it, a fat lizard jumped off from the waste bin and scurried away.

It's good that you can still recognize how your lizard pet looks like even though there's a lot of house lizards out there. Taking care of a lizard as a pet is really interesting but I haven't tried it yet.
