Default How to build an Ant Farm?

The nieces are asking about this. I'm sure their mother will kill me, but I'd do anything for those girls. They have a newfound interest in building an ant farm -- something I can only assume they picked up at school or from television. How would one go about building an ant farm? Where do you get the ants, anyway? From the backyard?

Suggestions are greatly appreciated!

In building an ant farm, you need: a small tube on a fishbowl, jar or other container and queen ant. Place the tube on the container then find an ant colony. Capture an ant queen. Be careful because you might get ant bites. The Queen ant is very important because your ants will die without her. Then get the food for your ants. Water the ant farm by dropping a cotton ball soaked in water into the jar.
