Default Need real plants in the frogs tank?

hi,

Do i need to keep real plants in the tank or can i just put plastic ones in there? The frogs dont eat the plants, i have an air pump to oxygenate the water, and the plants just seem to make the water dirty quicker. (It doesnt help that my frogs are little vandals and keep pulling the plants out of the rings).

Diljera.....You dont need real plants. I use pothos cuttings. The frogs love hanging out in them , and they just float and last a very long time. Dont use an air pump with acf, it causes problems.

I really don't see the reason why you would have to use real plants. Although, it might be a good idea if you use a real plant if you happen to capture a wild frog from like a creek or a pond. It might help it adjust to being in captivity. The best thing to do is if you captured it is put some water from the water bed it came from. It might keep it alive alittle bit longer.
