Hi,

Can anyone tell me what to give rabbits with sneezing and the sniffles?

You'll need to get them vet checked to identify why they are sneezing. Antibiotics (Baytril) cleared up one of my buns. He was on Baytril for 4 weeks to fix up the problem aggressively. It worked in his case and he hasn't had a problem since.

However, other rabbits might not respond to certain antibiotics or
there may be another reason why there is sneezing. A vet needs to see
your bunny for an accurate diagnosis.

First, if you have more than one rabbit, isolate the ones with symptoms from the rest. Feed, water and care for the healthy ones first, then take care of the ones with symptoms. Wash well and even change clothes before returning to the healthy ones. I have heard estimates that a rabbits sneeze can carry 5 to 10 feet, so they should be separated by this distance or more.

This can be caused by several things.

Dust, allergies, Bordetella, and Pasteurella are among the common causes.

Look around, is the area your rabbits are kept in dusty or do they sneeze when there is dust in the air. For example, when a vaccum cleaner is run it kicks up dust, even in the cleanest of houses.

That could be it also, I had a rabbit and it was terribly allergic to the cage that it was in and we did not realize this until we took it to the vet and he explained that he fibers in the cage cause the allergy.
