Bathing a rabbit?

It is a common duty of pet owners to give their pets a bath but with rabbits, should it be done? Please recommend ways or shampoos if this is possible for rabbits.

No, one should not do it. The bath disturbs the natural skin balance and destroys the protective coating from their hair. Moreover it would take very long until it is dry again and in the meanwhile it could catch a cold.

Thanks for the response. That really saved the day because I was able to see my neighbor trying to put the hose on her rabbits! Good thing I was able to stop her and assured her I will ask first.
