Our dog that died was my babys protector. Her daddy got out the car one day fussing at her cuz she spilled fries all in his back seat and would'nt get them up. The dog came running and got between my baby and her daddy and showed his teeth. My husband instantly got calm and laughed and started sweet talking our baby. He had to go around the car the other way to get in the house.
After that the dog would'nt let my husband no where near the baby when we where out, he would get in bewtween the babby and my DH and just lear at him.

Dogs are man's best friend and it was clearly demonstrated by your dog by his devotion to the baby by being her protector. It's sad to know that your dog is not around anymore.

I am sorry that your dog died. That is a sad thing. But acting agressively toward your husband was not a good thing. Protecting the kid is all fine and good, but not if the dog became a danger to other members of the family.

That's really cute that your dog was protective of your baby. My dog is usually pretty afraid of "scary" people, but one time she was just too threatened by some plumbers and bared her teeth to them. It was nice to know that my harmless furball would actually work as a guard dog if she was stressed enough.

Its sad he died!!!!! he sounds very clever my dog does that to my mum when i go to sit by her!!!

Your dog was really a hero. How I wish I have a dog like yours. It is not common for dogs to act that way. Did you train him? You should be very proud of your dog. How old was your dog when he died? How did your dog die?
