I think Tiny is not a very original name, but that is the name of my Pekingese that I got from my grandmother.

She got her name because there were two dogs in the house and she was so little in comparison to the other that she got called Tiny. I like the name and it suits her.

Sometimes she looks at me as if to ask me do I really think she is tiny, because she doesn't think she is that tiny herself. lol

I don't know, if your dog is small, Tiny seems like a fitting name. I don't think names have to be all that original, as long as they match the personality of the animal. I like pet names that are related to the pet, or somehow describe a trait that the pet may have.

One example that I have is of the second cat my parent's brought home when I was a kid. We didn't have a name picked out for him right away, but as we were watching the little kitten bounce around the house, exploring and getting into this and that, we quickly found out that his personality is very, very curious! We named him "Beeswax", because he just couldn't mind his own beeswax.

Oh, that is an awesome name. I have a friend that named her cat alby, because when she found him in the drenching rain in the parking lot, she said, I'll be a son of a gun, look at that! And that is how he got his name.
