Hey, don't feel lame. We had a fluffy cat called "fluff" and a white rabbit called "sooty" Now we have a stripy cat called "tiger" Not very original.
My daughter just suggested 'finnie"

When I picked names for my pets it's usually among people's name or nickname. Sometimes a pet has a very distinct feature that we can easily pick a name based on that feature.

Since it is a goldfish I can think and suggest to you of a few names like Sunnie, Golkar, or Orange.

My son was always carrying on about getting a fish so I got him one, when I asked what is the name of the fish, he says I will call him "Flush", odd name for any pet, Flush the fish, So now we have a dog.

When I was younger, I named my goldfish after types of alcohol.

Killian was a very red fish (Killian's Irish beer) and Guiness was a black moor fish.

What about something exotic like Aurora, or Ingot?
