just an idea you dont have to do it but haha i was just thinking this maybe people could name their pets by the stuff they like for example i like cars and engines and everything about them so from now on i'll probably name my pets a car part or a car brand like JDM or Cam

I actually do that. All of my dogs are registered with the AKC as songs, the most recent being Laju’s Magical Mystery Tour, who is a 80 lb black/flashy 1 year old male boxer

It is a good idea to name pets from what you like. My brother named his snake and tarantula after rock bands. I like to name my pets from characters in books.

Unbelievably I let my ten-year-old name our pets she always comes up with something creative and original so it usually works out well. If anything no other pets are named what mine are.

My idea of naming pets is whatever my favorite cartoon is, and I think its fun like naming my cat shrek or naruto, so that where I get my ideas and its cute also.

I don't have any specific method for naming my pets, but I usually name them based on the things they do the first week or so that I have them. I had named my cat before I gave him a nickname, so I just kept calling him by his nickname. I nicknamed him Monkey because he used to scale the clothes in my closet like a monkey to get to the top shelf.

I actually did that once. Years ago, there was this song by a local band entitled Saturn Return, and I just loved that song so much that even before I saw the puppy given by a neighbor, I already decided to name it Saturn. It turned out that the puppy was a girl. I didn't change the name though.
