how do you find a name ?

Ok, when you are not looking for a name in this forum, how do you usually find a name for your pet ? Do you name it after celebrities and important persons ? Or do you try to find a special trait of your pet and then give it a name ? Or do you have one name only and every time a pet dies the new one gets the name ?

I look for traits which make the pet special and then use it as an inspiration. Sometimes i already have a name in my mind i want to use, and as soon as the new pet is here, it gets the name.

I don't think about pet names very much.
Often it is a very spontaneous decision.
I have to admit that i use human names
most of the time. So i don't use names
like "honey" or "sweety".
