I have a 6 month old puppy he is a shih tzu. His hair has grown a fair bit and going over his eyes. I would like to grow his hair to look like a real shih tzu but if I tie it up he wont leave the ties in what is the best way of doing this .

Maybe you are tying the knots a little bit hard. Why don’t you try using hair clips? Also, try to trim the hair every now and then. Even if you were trying to let the hair grow long, it would be best for your dog to have it trimmed.

Hi redgoddess! Shih tzu are sensitive type of dog. I suggest that you trim your pets hair eventhough you want them to grow long. Shih tzu eyes are sensitive. Make sure you dont tie the ribbon so tight it would be diffucult for you to remove it and never use rubber bands.
