Default Pot Bellied Pig

I watched a feature documentary recently about things that is related to the year of the pig. They featured people that have collections of anything that has pig on it and people that collect real pigs. There's this person, who chose pot bellied pigs as his pets. According to him, pigs are naturally quiet, clean, affectionate, intelligent and easily trained. Though, he didn't show if his pot bellied pigs can play tricks, he did mention that they are trainable. They can open the fridge, so it is best to always feed them on time. He used to have a dominant, territorial pig. I think it was the male one. When he started noticing this behavior, he immediately taught the pig some rules and I guess that's enough proof that pigs are indeed trainable. So, they're just like dogs only they are bigger!

I was also able to watch a show wherein the girl owns a guinea pig. She really loves the pig and she says that it really behave well. I think most of the animals out there are really trainable it depends on the approach.

You're funny Cessy! Guinea pigs are actually rodents. They are not pigs! But the name of these animals carries connotations of being a pig like that in German. The name is "Meerschweinchen" which literally means "little sea pigs".

Are we talking about pigs like pigs at a farm? Haven't seen a pot bellied pig and I think I have to research a photo of it. Well, I was born in the year of a pig and I do have my pig collection which is a cute piggy bank, hahaha. Just like cessy said, it depends on the owner if they really want to train their pets. It's just a matter of patience and understanding.

I am not sure if Pot Bellied Pigs are what you can see in farms. But this looks different from the common pigs we are familiar with. This type is black and really huge. Some have sort of like horns on the sides of their snouts. I would describe them looking like boars.
