Default Hermit Crabs

A friend of mine has hermit crabs in a tank in her room. To me, they look like the most boring pets ever. They hardly move, don't do much or interest really. She likes painting new shells for them in fancy patterns and then they crawl out of their old shells and into the new ones.

How about Hermit Crab for a pet? If you already have a tank or aquarium, you might want to consider including a hermit crab in the community. They are very interesting and cute pets. And in stead of choosing the janitor fish as your tank community cleaner, why not the hermit crab for a change? Yes, they are like janitor fish. They are also scavengers and they are a good choice for controlling common algae problems. It will add attraction to your tank. Surely, your visitors will get fascinated with them. These animals are not expensive to have as pets since they eat almost any algae they can find in the tank community. You only have to start worrying once they start to grow bigger since, you will have to find them a new shell to stay in to. The Blue Legged Hermit kills a specific species of snail to obtain a new shell. That information really made me laugh! Imagine? A hermit crab robbing a snail its entire house?!

I was able to find a store that sells multi-colored shells with hermit crabs in it! It was my first time seeing something like that so I find it cute. What kind of paint do you was used on their shells?

Hermit Crabs are so crazy. I always have to laugh when i see them wandering around with their shell. They seem very introverted and shy. That makes them cute in their own way.

Haven't see some hermit crabs on pet stores so I guess I have to find one to see one. What do they really look like?

Thanks for sharing that photo with us. I haven’t seen a natural colored hermit crab because I was able to see a painted hermit crab at the mall. Now I know what it looks like without the paint.

cool photo you got there! I just found another interesting info about hermit crabs. They can live up to 75 years! That makes them a pretty good and life-long companion.
