Ants

I know this may sound weird but I know someone who wants to pet ants! The only thing that hinders him is that he does not want to spend for a terrarium. Now, that's even more funny!

I had a classmate before who literally had ants as his pets! He just grabbed a handful of soil from the school garden and placed the soil in a plastic candy container and placed the ants he picked from the garden.

I was thinking about this last night if there is someone who wants to have ants as pets. I even asked my husband about it and he is not sure, hahaha. This thread answered my question though we find it weird but it’s an experience for a pet owner.

Ants are really a weird choice for a pet. I think kids just wanted to play with it so they decided to find something that could give them temporary satisfaction and just for the sake of having a pet.

Right! Just for the sake of having pets! I mean, you don't need to buy ants to be able to care for some, right? It could be a good choice. At the same time, you won't have such a hard time feeding them. What do they eat, by the way?

I think my classmates just gave the ants some breadcrumbs or any leftover food that they had during break time. There was also a time when they saw a dead cockroach and they picked it up and shoved it inside the “ant cage”.
