Default Are There Population Control Surgeries For Hamsters

Hi,
I read in another post that a pet store one of our members frequents has a sign up about hamster population and in due to it being a problem, they only sell males. Is there a way to spay the females, or is this surgery available for just the cats and dogs?

Well, I don't think that there is a way to control the population of hamsters. I think that is why the pet store is only selling male hamsters to avoid the sudden increase of their hamster population. I think the pet store should be the first one to know if ever there are possible solutions on how to control the population of hamsters.

I didn't have access to that particular pet store. So, I wonder what he does to the girl hamsters. Just refuses to buy them or import them I suppose. Bless his heart if he ever accidentally gets a female brought in for sale.

I didn't realize either that there is a population problem, so I was curious about the opinion and knowledge of the procedure.
