Default Have you ever breed a fish?

I like breeding fishes a lot but haven't tried doing it. I would love to experience taking care of fresh water fish with their little kids(don't know the term for small fish). Have you ever experienced this?

Yes i have. It is not easy at all because some fish have really special needs to breed. And all fish like to eat the baby fish. So you have to be fast after they are born and take them out in another fish tank until they are big enough. Guppies ( the ones i mentioned in the other thread ) breed a lot and it is easy to get fish babies.

Wow, it' good to know that you've experienced breeding a fish Dana. I might try it soon. How long does it take to breed a guppy? I might try mollies too like I've mentioned on my other thread. They are both fresh water fish and breeding fish so I guess I can put them together in one tank.

It will take around a month until there will be baby fish. Today i have read once again that guppies are the most productives fish. So i guess it will be easy for you to have some small guppies. Good luck

Thanks Dana. I hope that I can really breed one because I really want to experience the feeling of it on how to take care of the little ones. It would be a great achievement if I will be able to do that.
