I live in Colorado and there has been alot of bad media around the American pitbull terrier and this is for NOT JUST PITBULL OWNERS but dog owners in general. I think instead of banning animals (1st all dogs that have been vicious towards humans should be humanely euthanized) because theres alway that feeling that they might bite another human and know dog owner in the right mind whats to have a risk like that.
Instead of dogs being banned since thats just a way for the government to say "we are doing someting". People who want to own a dog should have to take a little test to even prove that they know how to care and properly maintain a dog because 9/10 time dog attacks happen because the person was an irresponsible owner. Not properly training, and socializing a dog will lead to bigger problems in the long run, all dog owners know this. Except a few who choose to not care because they raise a dog for their pleasure and sport in inhumane activities such as dog fighting. So this was just an idea probly gonna get alot of hate for this but yeah people who want to own a dog need to be tested and certified just think of it like a CGC test for dogs but instead its for the OWNERS or else anyone caught with a dog who has not been certified should be slaped with a $5,000 fine on the SPOT!!!

BSL happens because people who vote for this choose not to acess the problem which is not the breed but the owner. I think BSL is a quick and cheap way to say we are doing something.

The problem is not the dog if you look closely its deeper than that. It's because of irresponsible breeding and ownership!

I also think people shouldn't be able to breed their dogs or bitches just because they think they have an outstanding dog. ALL dog who are going to be breed should at least past a CGC and TT test and if you breed a dog without the certificates you should also be slaped with a $5,000 fine ON THE SPOT!!!
