Cast your vote and let us know your reasoning.
I personally voted "Definitely No" since I think it's simply cruel. I can't see any logical reason to have your cat declawed.

Declawing is now illegal in many European countries. did you know that declawing is actually an amputation of the last joint of your cat's toes? There are alternatives, for example you can actually teach your cat to use a scratching post.

Definitely no because that is very cruel. It is forbidden to do such actions like that. No one's going to agree to declaw animals especially cats. It's never been a practice on my country because it's an abuse to animals.

I voted no, because it is cruel, senseless and illegal. I really would be concerned if a pet lover votes for yes.

Of course not. There is no reason for it.
People have to stop those power games :
"Cats are sweet but claws not, let's remove them".
That is really weird.

Generally no, like whiskers, claws are an intergral part of how cats sense their environments. Taking their nails away without using other methods such as nail caps or nail trimming (which you can do at home mind you for less than getting them removed) is tortune for a cat - it's like you were to cut off one ear or go blind in an eye. The only real times a cats nails should be removed are if the nails are so badly infected or diseased that compromises a cat's ability to function and only under veterinarian suggestion.

I'm happy to know that there is a non-profit organization, named The Paw Project, that advocates animal welfare, promotes public awareness about the painful and crippling effects of declawing, and rehabilitates declawed cats through paw repair surgery.
